Meeting Fidel Castro,
Shortly after I got the confirmation for my meeting with Fidel, I got a fax with a list of "recommendations" which I should take into account, when I wished to return to Sweden with the same amount of extremities than I came with:
My visit in Cuba
Friday, 6 o'clock in the morning my plane was leaving from Växjö Airport directly to Havanna, the capital of Cuba. I was picked up at the airport and accompanied by some police cars to the bar "La cucaracha" where I should meet Fidel Castro, Cuba's leader. After enjoying some drinks at the bar, a heavily armed man came and directed me into a secret room. Fidel Castro was already sitting there: "You are taller and more muscular than I thought McFabulous" he said in Spanish. He asked me, whether the man who guided me into the room had offered me a cigar. When I denied the man was executed immediately. Due to the fact that I liked his watch, I asked whether I could have it. Fidel negated, the watch was already promised to one of his sons...
I asked Fidel, why he had invited me to Cuba. He responded, he had read my diary and was impressed about my attitude, opinions and my revolutionary spirit. In other words, my intellectuality. I should help him to write his speeches which often last for several hours. I asked whether it is true, that the freedom of speech in Cuba is enormously constricted, wheron he replied that this is a lie, and if I would tell this to anybody else or publish it on my website, I would be "erased" instantly.
Finally, I reported him about the bad economical situation in Sweden and asked for financial support but he refused.
After our summit conference and enjoying a traditional performance of some table dancers, we said goodbye to each other. Fidel told me that, although I wouldn't become his personal assistant, he would continue reading my diary and skim my guestbook in search for other potential assistants.
I took the plane back and because of the time difference I arrived in Sweden even before I had left to Cuba, viz. Friday, 5 o'clock in the morning.
Additional information will be published in Times Magazine this week.
Adios muchachos,
McFabulous

- As Fidel doesn't want anyone to look like him, I had to shave my full-beard. It was a strange feeling, but I got used to it. Also, for the same reason, I shouldn't wear the battle-dress which I usually do.
- Because of the tense situation between Cuba and the USA I should avoid any English words. As I speak Spanish fluently this shouldn't be a problem.
- I had to begin smoking cigars.
