Hej ho,
first, a picture of someone which shall remind us that there are things in life which are MUCH more important than any internship, job etc.:
However, as I promised, I will also tell you the results of my job interviews. And the decision is taken. Yesterday I got a call from Kraftfoods on my answering machine to call back in order to get to know my result. About 1 hour ago I also had a call from Procter & Gamble on my answering machine, asking me to call back, too. So I did. The man (with whom I had my last interview) told me that he was in a hurry, so he told me he would call me tomorrow morning. However, as I was really excited I wanted to know the result. "The internship at P&G won't happen!" ....
After having travelled more than 6.000 km to be in the final round for the internship, this is not the nicest answer to hear, that's what I can tell you. I am really interested to get to know the reasons...
One minute after this conversation I decided to call Kraftfoods (the second biggest food company in the world). Bam! I got the internship! The funny thing, I am working on the current focus project of Kraftfood which is called Tassimo, a joint venture between Kraftfoods and Braun (Braun belongs to P&G).
So, what is the outcome of my two weeks of travelling through Germany, doing a marketing seminar at P&G and several job interviews?
Beginning on the 26th of june I will be in Bremen, in the North of Germany, doing my internship at Kraftfoods and enjoying life.
See you soon,
Fabian

- Never trust your feelings about an interview
- Never try to bend yourself in an interview to fit into the culture of the company, because your interview partners are experienced and professionals
- Never criticise a company during an informal lunch meeting, because it could be that this person is coincidently doing a job interview with you some days later ;-)
- Never rely on the German ICE-train, as it is (almost) always delayed
